Challenge

While at Arch Creative as their in-house motion designer - we were invited by the NHS to produce an advertising and social media campaign which drives awareness about getting vaccinated during the covid pandemic. The campaign needed to voice the opinions and concerns of people backed by professionals to help encourage positive debate in different communities locally and globally.

Solution

The team at Arch interviewed local people and recorded their interviews remotely using Riverside software. Each participant was asked the same questions to drive a cohesive narrative using their own words. The overall message and focus was to centre on the benefits of coming together. The end result culminated in a city wide deployment of OOH advertising including a social focused campaign of videos.

Creative approach

The visual look and feel was simple - to create a clean and engaging visual aesthetic that adhered to the wider campaign message and to also bring a sense of fun and personality to the campaign. During a time where we saw less of the people we loved and spent most of our time either indoors or online, we brought a sense of craft and tangibility to the visual look and feel. By using a cut-out collage animation style along with a paper texture effect - we wanted to ground the campaign and show, ‘we’re all in this together’. The sense of craft helped as a vehicle to drive this message forwards.

The campaign was well received and helped to bring a voice to a younger audience during the pandemic.

Software used included After Effects and Audition.
